The house of second accused in Agartala conspiracy case Shaheed Lt Commander Moazzem Hossain in Paschim Dumritla village of Pirojpur s Sadar upazila was burnt to ashes this morning.
It took two hours to douse the fire but the house steeped in history was already burnt down by that point, said Abu Zafar, station officer of Pirojpur Fire Service and Civil Defense. No casualties were reported as no one lived there, Zafar added.
Mahamudur Rahman Tunu, Moazzem s younger brother informed the fire service about the matter.

PIROJPUR, Jan 29, 2021 (BSS) – The house of dauntless freedom fighter (FF) Moazzem Hossain, also the 2nd accused in the Agartala Conspiracy Case in 1967, was burnt to ashes in Pirojpur in the early morning of today.
Abu Jafar, station officer of Pirojpur Fire Service and Civil Defense, told BSS that his (Moazzem Hossain) house was gutted in fire at the West Dumritola area under Pirojpur Sadar Upazila.
The fire fighters along with their three fire extinguisher vehicles rushed to the scene and doused the flame with the help of the locals after a two-hour relentless effort, he added.
