The Supreme Court Wednesday declined to grant interim protection from arrest to the makers and actors who starred in the web series ‘Tandav’. However, the apex court said they can seek bail from concerned lower courts.
A bench comprising justices Ashok Bhushan, R Subhash Reddy and M R Shah was hearing as many as three separate petitions filed by director Ali Abbas Zafar, Amazon Prime India head Aparna Purohit, producer Himanshu Mehra, the show s writer Gaurav Solanki and actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.

Lucknow: In more trouble for actors and makers of Amazon Prime s web series ‘Tandav’, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minsiter Keshav Prasad Maurya on Wednesday said that strict legal action will be taken against them for hurting the Hindu sentiments.
Tweeting in Hindi, Maurya said that the makers of Tandav, including the producer, director and actors are culprits of breaking the social fabric and hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. Tough legal action will be taken against them, he said.
