We came to check out what new things we could find at the park, but to also check in on the many construction projects here, and we’re glad we did! Let’s get started! We’ve been waiting with baited breath ever since the construction walls around the France Pavilion expansion were removed and replaced with rolling planters and today our patience was rewarded. A portion of the expansion was opened to guests today, including the new Restrooms. It’s quite a lovely area! For more pictures and a full video walkthrough, check out our article here.

PHOTOS: Morocco Pavilion Continues its Reopening Under New Disney Management at EPCOT PHOTOS: Morocco Pavilion Continues its Reopening Under New Disney Management at EPCOT With the Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT now under Disney’s control, the pavilion is seeing a few changes. Spice Road Table reopened today, but most of the rest of the pavilion remains closed. Spice Road Table is not utilizing reservations, so guests can just walk up for availability. Though we can once again walk through the pavilion, shops remain closed. Instead, there are additional tables and chairs for seating. Restaurant Marrakesh also remains closed. Currently, there is no reopening date for the restaurant.

There are separate carts for ordering and for picking up your drink. There is a 1 and a 2 on the ground to indicate where to go first. There is also this set of curiously France-themed chocolates available at the counter for $7.95. The “Explore Morocco” sign is now gone. The sign was on this pole, pointing into the pavilion with information about what’s inside. Of course, most of the inside of the pavilion is now closed.

While making our beeline to the Morocco Pavilion, it was hard to miss the monolith anchored out in World Showcase Lagoon. The first of five large barges was put in place yesterday for the upcoming Harmonious nighttime show, though for the foreseeable future the structures will be little more than eyesores until they are providing actual entertainment. Conversely, one water feature that actually adds value to the park but has no resources given to it, the largest fountain within the Imagination Pavilion was off and mostly drained yesterday, giving us hope that it may be receiving some much-needed maintenance.
