REVIEW: Disney’s Morocco Takeover Turns Spice Road Table Into an EPCOT Dining Must
Following Disney’s takeover of the Morocco Pavilion in EPCOT, Spice Road Table has reopened with a revamped menu, so we had to see how things have changed.
Over the past few days, the dining area, which is outdoors, was refreshed with newly-painted columns.
Cast Members in general World Showcase outfits greeted us when we arrived. As a reminder, reservations are no longer accepted at Spice Road Table, and it operates on walk-ups only.
Portions of EPCOT s Morocco Pavilion Reopen This Weekend Under Disney Management

Earlier this week select restaurants and merchandise locations found within the Morocco pavilion at EPCOT closed to allow Disney to assume operations of all of the Morocco Pavilion, including the following dining and merchandise locations, which have reopened:
Souk-Al-Magreb merchandise location
Morocco Kidcot Fun Stop will relocate to the east side of the pavilion
Spice Road Table - This location reopens this weekend with an updated menu featuring a variety of small plate options, such as Hummus Fries, Fried Calamari, Triopitakia and a wide selection of beverages. Reservations are no longer available as this location has transitioned to walkup only

After a number of internal issues, Walt Disney World is officially assuming operations of all Morocco Pavilion businesses at EPCOT, including all food & beverage and merchandise locations. Since the announcement in October, there have been signs of various businesses in the Morocco Pavilion closing and undergoing refurbishment.
When we stopped by today, painting was going on in Spice Road Table’s dining area.
Columns were getting new detail work, painted to look like intricate tiles.

Morocco Pavilion Restaurants and Shops Now Closed for Short Period Ahead of Disney Takeover at EPCOT
Here’s a listing of each affected location, plus their reopening dates:
Souk-Al-Magreb merchandise is now closed and is expected to reopen Saturday, Dec. 12.
Spice Road Table is now closed and is expected to reopen Sunday, Dec. 13
Restaurant Marrakesh and the Medina merchandise location will remain closed until further notice.
When Spice Road Table reopens, the location will debut an updated menu featuring a variety of small plate options, such as Hummus Fries, Fried Calamari, Triopitakia and a wide selection of beverages. As a reminder, reservations for Spice Road Table are no longer available.
