A gray and red Orbea bicycle and a titanium Moot bicycle were stolen from a garage in the 1500 block of Church Street between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday.
Davis at Maple
A black Trek bicycle that was secured to a bike rack was taken near Davis Street and Maple Avenue between 8:05 a.m. and 12:05 p.m. Thursday.
2600 Gross Point
An unsecured silver Giant bicycle was taken from a parking lot in the 2600 block of Gross Point Road around 1:30 p.m. Friday.
2400 Howard
Food items were taken from the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Mount Prospect man killed in Morton Grove crash

A collision with a car in Morton Grove left a 41-year-old motorcyclist from Mount Prospect dead Friday night.
Officers responded to the scene at Oakton Street and Gross Point Road about 10:30 p.m., police said. The motorcyclist was transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Morton Grove police did not confirm the identity of the victim, although a name was reported in other media. The Cook County medical examiner said his next of kin had not been notified.

A gold 2008 Buick that was left with the engine running in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue at about 9:45 p.m. yesterday was reported stolen.
2300 Howard
Two computers were reported stolen Friday from the Best Buy electronics store in the 2300 block of Howard Street. Miguel A. Martinez, 23, of 5030 W. Montrose Ave., Chicago, was arrested at the store at 1:06 p.m. Friday and charged with retail theft.
1600 Chicago
Someone stole food items from the Whole Foods Market in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue at about 1:36 p.m. Friday.

Church Street resurfacing starts this week
An Illinois Department of Transportation project to resurface portions of Church Street in Evanston and Skokie is getting underway this week.

An Illinois Department of Transportation project to resurface portions of Church Street in Evanston and Skokie is getting underway this week.
The repaving work will run from Gross Point Road in Skokie to Dodge Avenue in Evanston. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September.
The project involves replacing curbs as needed, installing accessible ADA ramps at intersections, roadway base repair and replacement of asphalt surface from curb to curb along with the roadway striping.
