In just a matter of days, Peter John Dario lost his father and grandfather to COVID-19 last year.
The back-to-back blows left him numb, but he was too busy to grieve. He had his mother and his sister, who both contracted the virus, to think of.
He’d cook. He’d care for them. And – in the quiet moments – he’d tend to his plants.
He’d mist them with water. Wipe them clean. And he’d make sure they had the nourishing sunlight many were deprived of amid the pandemic.
