Editorial Survey shows many don t grasp values that underlie how US government works The Indiana General Assembly has wisely extended civics education requirements to middle school students, but a new Indiana University survey suggests Indiana and every other state needs to offer refresher courses for adults: Democrats and Republicans are sorely lacking in their understanding of U.S. government and our constitutional rights.
