Continuing with the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) series, this week we select companies from the S&P BSE 500 Index that have registered consistently high profit margins.
Using the Capitaline database, we have shortlisted companies that have maintained operating profit margins (EBIT or earnings before interest and tax margins) and net profit margins of at least 20 per cent and 15 per cent, respectively, for five years until March 2020. Union Cabinet Approves MoU Between India And US For Exchange Of Information In Electricity Sector

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday (16 December) gave its nod to the agreement between India and United States for the exchange of information in the electricity sector. The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has given its approval for Central Electricity Regulatory Commissionâs proposal for entering into a Memorandum of Understanding between Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), India and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), United States of America (USA) for exchange of information and experiences in areas of mutual interest to both in the electricity sectors, said an official statement.

New Delhi [India], December 16 (ANI): The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the electricity-regulatory-commission >Central Electricity Regulatory Commission s (CERC) proposal to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), USA to exchange information and experiences in the electricity sectors.
As per a statement, the MoU will help improve the regulatory and policy framework to develop efficient wholesale power market and enhance grid reliability.
Under the MoU, energy-related issues will be identified and topics and possible agendas for the exchange of information will be developed.

New Delhi, Dec 16: The government on Wednesday approved a subsidy of Rs 3,500 crore to sugar mills for the export of 60 lakh tonnes of sweetener during the ongoing marketing year 2020-21 as part of its efforts to help them clear outstanding dues to sugarcane farmers.

Briefing media after the meeting, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved a subsidy of Rs 3,500 crore on exports of 60 lakh tonnes of sweetener and the subsidy amount will directly be given to farmers.
