More vaccination clinics scheduled this week in Jamestown

Steiner / The Sun Central Valley Health District said Tuesday that it received a large number of COVID-19 vaccine doses and began providing vaccinations in the community Tuesday. “We have scheduled several vaccination clinics this week,” said Robin Iszler, unit administrator for Central Valley Health. CVHD has been using a list based from the online Vaccine Interest Survey to contact those interested in being vaccinated. CVHD has completed contacting those on the list who are 75 and older and are now in the list of those age 65-75 with underlying health conditions.

CVHD Anticipates to Provide Over 700 Vaccinations This Week

“We have scheduled several vaccination clinics this week,” reports Robin Iszler, Unit Administrator. CVHD has been using a list based from the online Vaccine Interest Survey to contact those interested in being vaccinated.  CVHD has completed contacting those on the list who are 75 and older and are now into the list of those 65-75 with underlying health conditions. In past weeks, CHVD was contacting interested community members who were 75 and older by phone call and they will now be shifting vaccination appointment efforts to online registration. “It will be much more efficient use of time if people now register themselves for appointments and clinics when they are available,” stated Iszler.

CVHD Anticipating More COVID Vaccine in Coming Weeks

(CVHD) – Central Valley Health District (CVHD) is working in collaboration with area health and pharmacy agencies, including Medicine Shoppe, Sanford Health Jamestown, South Central Health (Wishek Clinic) and Essentia Health Jamestown, to coordinate COVID vaccinations in both Stutsman and Logan Counties. Robin Iszler, CVHD Unit Administrator, reports that they have been using the COVID-19 Vaccination Interest Survey to contact people when the vaccine arrives. “The State has notified us that more doses of vaccine will be arriving at our clinic over the next couple weeks. We anticipate that we should be able to move quickly to contact those 75 and older that are interested in being vaccinated,” stated Iszler. The interest survey is available on the CVHD website.

Businesses, Individuals Honored in 90th Annual Chamber Banquet

She stated she was grateful to be recognized for this honor. The final award was the Citizen of the Year, which was given to Kari Newman Ness. The award recognizes an individual who has dedicated their life, resources, and service to the betterment of the community. Ness thanked her late father Harold Newman and the continued service of her mother as inspiration to her continued dedication to Jamestown. Later, outgoing board president Mary Lou Urquhart passed the gavel to incoming board president Matthew Pepple.
