Patrick Eaken Most Clay coaches believe the competition in the Northern Lakes League will be similar to the Three Rivers Athletic Conference, but a little more balanced. “I’m excited about it. I think it is going to be good for our school,” said Clay athletic director Mark Beach. “While I’m excited, we’ve won 25 championships in the 10-year run in the TRAC. That is going to be a tough challenge in this new conference. Just in sheer volume of teams, it is going to be a deeper league, so you’re going to earn a league title because you are going to wade through a lot of tough teams.

Patrick Eaken By a 4-0 vote on Tuesday, the Oregon City Schools Board of Education voted to leave the Three Rivers Athletic Conference and join the Northern Lakes League. The addition of Clay, Whitmer, Findlay and Fremont Ross to the NLL will create an 11-team league that will begin play in 2023-24, unless the schools are released from their current conferences earlier. Fremont Ross voted to accept the invitation on April 12 followed by Findlay on April 19. The NLL will be divided into two divisions.

Woman s Club of Upper St Clair awards scholarships to 2021 graduates | News

Two cousins were among the recipients at the annual Woman’s Club of Upper St. Clair Scholarship Awards Luncheon, held Tuesday at the McLaughlin Run Road Activity Center. Mia Rossi and Ross Hartley, grandchildren of club member Jeanette Rossi, are among seven high school seniors to receive financial assistance in their pursuits of higher education. Shirley Tadda chairs the scholarship committee. Harry Funk Both traveled a distance to attend the luncheon, as Mia attends Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville and Ross, Shaler Area High School. They join other scholarship winners in accepting their awards and introducing themselves during the luncheon: Mia DePolo and Haley Qin, Upper St. Clair; Isabella Folino, Peters Township; and Ross Gardner, who lives in Green Tree and attends Central Catholic High School.
