Micro Focus: Jury Delivers Verdict In Favour Of Wapp In Patent Litigation Case LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Micro Focus International plc (MCFUF.PK, MCRO.L) issued an update regarding its patent litigation with Wapp Tech Limited Partnership and Wapp Tech Corp. In 2018, Wapp brought a claim against Micro Focus in the Eastern District of Texas, accusing the company of infringing claims of three patents. On 5 March 2021, the jury has delivered a verdict in favour of the claimant and awarded damages totalling $172.5 million. The Group noted that the matter is awaiting the judge to hand down his judgement. Micro Focus intends to appeal any judgement resulting from the verdict.

Micro-Doppler radars could soon be used to predict injury risk and track recovery Micro-Doppler radars could soon be used in clinical settings to predict injury risk and track recovery progress, according to Penn State researchers.  Being able to view subtle differences in human movement would allow health care workers to more accurately identify individuals who may be at risk for injury and to track progress precisely while individuals are recovering from an injury. In an effort to find an accurate, reliable and cost-effective way to measure these subtleties  in human movement, College of Engineering and College of Medicine researchers teamed up to develop a radar in front of which athlete study-subjects could jump.
