Marquette University publicly launched a $750 million comprehensive fundraising campaign Thursday, the largest in the university s 140-year history.
The campaign, titled Time to Rise: The Marquette Promise to Be the Difference, will focus on: increasing student scholarships and investing in enriching the student experience; supporting Marquette s educators and researchers; fostering university-wide innovation; and transforming the campus environment.
The campaign has raised $453 million 60% of its goal from nearly 50,000 donors since Marquette launched it privately in July 2016. Of those, some 500 gave more than $100,000 and more than 90 gave more than $1 million. Just over 40% of contributors were first-time donors, as the university has seen growing financial support from its alumni.
