Oxford Crown Court A judge will decide in September how best to deal with a man who attacked others and held them against their will. Thomas Ryan, 26, formerly of Weald Street, Bampton, was ruled unfit to stand trial at Oxford Crown Court last week. And this week jurors found that he had committed two assaults by beating and a charge of false imprisonment. He was found not guilty of a third assault. The incident happened at Bampton, Oxfordshire, in May 2019. On Friday, Recorder Michael Roques heard that Ryan’s mental health had improved and a doctor at HMP Bullingdon did not believe he required in-patient care at a psychiatric hospital.
