Instead, it will say “Michael McCorkle Jones.” Yep, that is his real name. While his bio at the University of Alabama did not mention it, both his personal website and a DUI report filed against him as a freshman in 2017 state that his name is indeed Michael McCorkle Jones. So, what is the story behind this name. According to an article by AL.com’s Michael Casagrande from last December, Jones’ parents, Holly and Gordon, have always intended to name him Michael McCorkle but to use a shortened version of his middle name when calling him.
