Hospice Malta to receive €2.5 million in government support over the next three years

Health Minister Chris Fearne made the announcement during a signing ceremony on Tuesday.
He said the investment will help Hospice to purchase specialised equipment. The government must work hand in hand with civil society to complement each other in the services offered to our patients. We believe in the dedication of the Hospice Movement and in the professionalism of the services they offer, Fearne said.
The investment would allow Hospice Malta to be able to continue providing a comprehensive service targeting the physical health, as well as the psychosocial and spiritual issues of patients and their families going through such a difficult journey.

Wednesday night marked the culmination of the 2020 Home for the Holidays campaign, with the presentation of the campaign proceeds to Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, Healing House, Faith House, and St. Michael Center for Veterans.
Representatives from the four benefiting charities and Acadian Home Builders Association gathered at Rock n Bowl in Lafayette for the presentation.
CEO of Acadian Home Builders Association Adrienne Fontenot explained that Wednesday s event was the end result of the efforts of everyone who helped make the 2020 campaign a success. It s just the culmination of the efforts of so many. From volunteers to the builder of the home, but most importantly to all of you in Acadiana who purchased tickets during one of the strangest years in our lifetimes, Fontenot stated.
