OneWeb opens its first sales and demo experience OneWeb, the global communications network powered from space, has announced today that it is opening a state-of-the-art Service Demonstration experience at the new Innovation Centre at Westcott Venture Park, which is run and managed by the Satellite Applications Catapult and was funded by Buckinghamshire LEP through the Local Growth Fund. Situated in Buckinghamshire UK, OneWeb’s unique facility will welcome customers from 1st May to demonstrate the performance and potential applications of their satellite network in real-time. The Service Demo will showcase equipment and high-speed connectivity, and visitors will be able to see the OneWeb network in action including download and upload speeds and latency. Sales support staff will also be on hand to discuss the technology, potential partnerships, testing requirements and further collaboration opportunities.

Intellian to Deliver OneWeb User Terminals in 2021

Photo: Intellian Intellian revealed Monday that the company is finishing production of dedicated, Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite user terminals for OneWeb. Intellian originally partnered with OneWeb in 2019 to build terminals, and the companies restarted their prior agreement after OneWeb emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Intellian’s agreement with OneWeb is for the production of a wide range of dedicated OneWeb user terminal types with a variety of antenna sizes. These terminals are designed to serve sectors including cellular backhaul, enterprise, rural broadband, telecommunications, telemedicine, schools, hospitals, agriculture, mining, government, and maritime including merchant shipping, oil and gas exploration, leisure or fishing. Additionally, this partnership will allow current Intellian customers to use existing Intellian NX series terminals by incorporating an option to upgrade them to operate
