Lockwood Schools campus has seen many changes over the last several years and will soon have another addition.
St. Vincent Healthcare started building a new clinic near the high school and stadium and celebrated with a ground breaking on Thursday.
SCL Health Medical Group Lockwood will be an 8,000-square-foot facility, for primary care and walk in.
Hospital management says this is the first clinic on a school campus in Montana and will be available to about 9,000 people living in Lockwood.
The clinic will be located on the Lockwood Schools campus.
âWe have been growing our medical group practice across the state in order to fulfill our mission to provide Montanans with the primary and specialty care they need, when and where they need it,â Tom Moser, Vice President of Operations, SCL Health Medical Group - Montana, said. âDespite a population of nearly 9,000 residents, Lockwood has no healthcare services within the community. We are excited to provide this growing community with easily accessible primary care services.â
The 7,874 square foot clinic will provide primary care services by appointment Monday through Friday, and no appointment necessary walk-in care 365 days a year.

Billings - St. Vincent Healthcare announced Saturday that Tyler Wiltgen has accepted the position of Executive Director of the St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation.
Wiltgen brings over 14 years of experience in relationship and resource development, systems analysis, broad-scale communications and strategic planning in nonprofit and government organizations.
âWe are thrilled to have Tyler join our team and look forward to the many ways his impressive experience and expertise in philanthropic work will help advance our mission at St. Vincent Healthcare,â said Michael Skehan, St. Vincent Healthcare Interim President.
