A group of large retail shareholders in struggling department store Myer has raised concerns over Solomon Lew’s plans to rejig the company’s board, worried the retail billionaire might effectively gain control of the business by stacking the board with his own people.
Myer is currently in the crosshairs of Mr Lew, who has upped his efforts to depose the company’s board after recently acquiring an additional 5 per cent stake in the company, boosting his investment company Premier Investment’s shareholding to 15.7 per cent.

As Quebec lifts its confinement measures and organizations that help women see an increase in conjugal violence and sexual exploitation, the Quebec Liberal Party is pleading with the government to act faster to implement the recommendations in reports submitted months ago.
