Karen Huffman is suing Joanna Gollnau, 25, for physical injuries and financial damages. Huffman is accusing her of being careless, reckless and negligent.
On September 23, 2020, a demonstration was taking place in response to a grand jury decision in the case of Breonna Taylor. That’s where Gollnau is accused of driving her pickup truck through Niagara Square, hitting Huffman.
The Erie County District Attorney says Gollnau was delivering pizzas at the time. The suit also names the owner of the pizzeria where Gollnau worked, Michael Khoury. Gollnau is charged with reckless endangerment and reckless driving. If convicted, Gollnau could face a maximum
