Burglar steals bags from U-Haul truck

A family moving from the 500 block of Chicago Avenue noted that some baggage, including a laptop computer and some tools, were missing from their U-Haul truck as they made their way to their new home out of state. This among the stories in today’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.

A burglar gained entry to a U Haul truck in the 500 block of Chicago Avenue and stole several items, including tools and a laptop computer, that had been loaded into it by a family that was on its way to a new home in another state. The burglary occurred between 3 p.m. Saturday and 5:09 p.m. yesterday.
