Man Devastated After Fire Completely Destroys Tulsa Apartment
A Tulsa man is worried he has nothing left after his apartment burned in a fire Thursday morning.
It happened around 11 a.m. at the Brookfield Community Apartments at 31st and Mingo. Just start over. And beyond that, I don t know what to tell anyone, said Michael Canfield, who lived there.
He s starting over after nearly three decades in his apartment. A neighbor shot video showing the moment Canfield s home burst into flames. All I know is yesterday I came home, no electricity, Canfield said.
Canfield said he noticed the circuit breaker was loose on Wednesday evening, so he slept in the car to have air conditioning. He was across the street getting breakfast when the fire happened.

BROCKPORT, N.Y. In 1961 President John F. Kennedy initiated the Community Fallout Shelter Program. Shortly thereafter Governor Nelson Rockefeller passed a statewide civil defense bill that hid shelters in public buildings across New York. Evidence of those tense times and those executive orders was just rediscovered at the College at Brockport.
As a member of the class of 87, it was a story that certainly caught my attention. Meghan Finnerty who works in the College Communications office says it has peaked the interest of many alumni. I think when you love your school you love learning about your school.
