Jesse Plemons Joins Elizabeth Olsen in HBO Max’s Love and Death
Following the official series order for David E. Kelley’s
Love and Death earlier this month, HBO Max has announced that Emmy nominee Jesse Plemons has signed on to star opposite MCU vet Elizabeth Olsen (
WandaVision) in the upcoming true-crime drama limited series, centered around Texas axe killer Candy Montgomery. Plemons is set to portray the role of Allan Gore, the husband of Betty Gore, who was murdered by Montgomery.
This marks Plemons’ first television project in nearly four years since appearing in a
Black Mirror episode in 2017. The 33-year-old actor will next be seen in a handful of high-profile movies such as Disney’s

“I’m Thinking of Ending Things” and “Judas and the Black Messiah” star Jesse Plemons has been cast opposite “WandaVision’s” Elizabeth Olsen in the HBO Max original limited series “Love and Death.”
Per the logline, the show follows two church-going couples, enjoying small-town family life in Texas (or, at least they do until somebody picks up an axe). The series is based on the true story of Texas housewife Candy Montgomery, who murdered her friend from church, Betty Gore, with an axe in 1980

Washington [US], May 6 (ANI): It has recently come to light that Hollywood star Elizabeth Olsen will soon portray convicted killer Candy Montgomery in a new HBO Max series, titled Love and Death .
According to E! News it was revealed that the WandaVision star will play Candy Montgomery, a Texas woman who was convicted for murdering her friend with an axe in 1980 in the new HBO Max series.
The upcoming series by TV writer and producer David E. Kelley, titled Love and Death , is produced by Lionsgate and is inspired by John Bloom and Jim Atkinson s book, Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs , and their Texas Monthly series.
