Just 21 hours ago it was a category 1 storm and thou a category 5 storm. And thats the highest category you can get on the hurricane scale. Here is the eye. Just moved over dominica. And now you can see maria is moving off to the north and to the west. So now we have watches and warnings ahead of that storm. And hurricane warning now in effect for puerto rico and the u. S. Virgin island. That is the next location that will likely see another landfall from this hurricane. So right now its a category 5 storm. Winds 160 miles an hour. And the latest track does have it weakening slightly, but weakening is just in terms of about 5 miles an hour or so for wind speed. She has two adult daughters. They lived here more than 30 years, she and her husband had, and this is a close neighborhood.
