Located at the north end of the corniche, in the heart of Egypt’s bustling metropolis, the 39-storey hotel offers easy access to the magnificent monuments of a city steeped in history.
To celebrate the opening, The St. Regis Cairo hosted a special ceremony, which was attended by Ali Shareef Al-Emadi, minister of finance for Qatar; Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al-Thani, chairman of Qatari Diar; Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, CEO of Qatari Diar; Steven Mnuchin, former US secretary of the treasury; Dr. Mohamed Maait, minister of finance for Egypt; Satya Anand, president for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International, and other VIP guests.
Celebrity chef David Burke is on a roll.
After opening Red Horse steakhouse in Rumson and Orchard Park in East Brunswick this past year, Burke, who lives in Fort Lee, is set to open a golf-themed restaurant and bar in Morristown.
1776 by David Burke, a spacious, luxurious restaurant and bar right by the Morristown Green, will adjoin Topgolf Swing Suite, an indoor golf simulation entertainment venue. The venue has eight rooms where people can play virtual golf, Burke said.
The restaurant, which is being designed by the architectural firm Michael Graves, will feature an expansive bar, glass walls that open up to various alfresco dining areas, an open showcase kitchen, and a tasting room. It can accommodate 250 people.
