The incident was caught on camera when they broke into the Indianwood home while allegedly yelling racial slurs.
The detective said the victims and the defendants are complete strangers with the only connection being that they live close to each other.

A not guilty plea was made on behalf of all three defendants. Graves and Odegaard were both given a $500,000 cash assurity bond, while Pietryga’s bond was set at $350,000.

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich (WXYZ) â Three people are facing charges of ethnic intimidation after allegedly breaking into a Black family s home in Walled Lake, then threatening to kill them while using racial slurs.
Branden Odegaard, 37, Michael Graves, 47, and Macy Kathleen-Grant Pietryga, 26, all of Wolverine Lake, were charged by the Oakland County Prosecutor s Office in connection to the April 26 incident.
âI want to be very clear that I have zero tolerance for hate crimes, said Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said. Hate has no place here in Oakland County, and I will do everything in my power to hold those who attempt to threaten or harm our residents accountable.â

The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday it had charged two white men and a white woman with ethnic intimidation after the group allegedly broke into the home of a Black family and one defendant used a racial epithet during the break-in.
During the incident, which occurred early Monday, the defendants threatened to kill the occupants, including two children, said a news release from the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.
Michael Graves, 47, and Branden Odegaard, 37, were each charged with one count of 1st-degree home invasion, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000; as well as one count of ethnic intimidation, a felony punishable by a prison term of up to two years and a fine of up to $5,000, the release said. Maci Pietryga, 26, is charged with aiding and abetting 1st-degree home invasion, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000, as well as one count of ethnic intimidation.

Michael Graves and Braden Odegaard are both charged with first-degree home invasion. Odegaard s fiancee, Marci Pietryga, is charged with aiding and abetting first-degree home invasion. All three are also charged with ethnic intimidation.
