Someone emailed a bomb threat to several hundred Montgomery County Public Schools employees and students on Sunday night, police said.
Officer Rick Goodale, a Montgomery County police spokesman, told Bethesda Beat on Monday morning that the threat was determined to be “not credible.”
Goodale did not have additional details and referred all other questions to school system officials.
In a message sent to all students and staff members Monday morning, MCPS wrote that “a bomb threat was sent to a large number of MCPS staff and students.”
In a text message, district spokeswoman Gboyinde Onijala wrote that the threat was sent to “at least a couple hundred” people at a “number of schools.”
