A Deltona woman who Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said falsely accused a deputy of unwanted touching is now threatening to sue the sheriff’s office, claiming the unwanted touching and Chitwood s disparaging remarks caused her mental anguish.
Prosecutors declined to charge the woman, Tammy Stuck, but in doing so also stated the deputy did nothing wrong in their view. Chitwood also dismissed her claims when contacted by the News-Journal on Monday.
Tammy Stuck had claimed she suffered unwanted touching from a sheriff’s deputy on April 22 when she was about to enter a Deltona City Commission meeting along with her husband, Jeff Stuck. Tammy Stuck could not be reached for comment on Monday.
