Welcome back to the Feed Pail, which I’m using as a repository this weekend because the news has been coming fast and furious and some of us have day jobs, dammit. But since 2021 has already shown itself to be a Year of No Chill, I guess it’s no surprise our Gamecocks have been getting in on the intrigue.

We have an offensive coordinator again! After the, uh, abrupt departure of Mike Bobo, Marcus Satterfield comes to save the day for the Gamecocks. Hired away from the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, where he was an assistant offensive line coach, Satterfield once worked with Shane Beamer at Tennessee, where they were both graduate assistants, so there’s an existing relationship. Share Updated: 9:25 PM EST Jan 8, 2021 South Carolina quarterback Collin Hill is not expected to return for a final year of eligibility.The grad transfer came to Columbia shortly following offensive coordinator Mike Bobo s hire, after having played for Bobo at Colorado State. He beat out incumbent Ryan Hilinski for the job, starting the first eight games of the season before being benched at halftime against Missouri trailing 17-0.Hill struggled to spark the offense, throwing for 1,411 yards, six touchdowns and six interceptions in eight games, while taking 22 sacks. On Thursday, when Bobo left to take the offensive coordinator position at Auburn, Hill s departure seemed to be a foregone conclusion.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) - South Carolina quarterback Collin Hill will not return to the program for the 2021 season a school official confirmed on Friday evening. The news was first reported by Josh Kendall of The Athletic.
Hill, who transferred to South Carolina for his senior season from Colorado State, started 8 games for the Gamecocks in 2020 and threw for over 1,400 yards along with 6 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) - Just days after his new contract was approved by the South Carolina Board of Trustees, Mike Bobo has left the Gamecocks to take the offensive coordinator position at Auburn.
New Tigers head coach Bryan Harsin made the hiring official on Thursday afternoon.
