CHERRY HILL - An investigation is underway into the shooting of a man at a motel here.
The victim, identified only as a 34-year-old, was shot around 6:07 p.m. at the Express Inn on Route 38, according to the Camden County Prosecutor s Office.
He was taken to an area hospital. Details of his condition were not released.
The shooting was the second violent crime to be reported in Cherry Hill in recent weeks.
A Delaware man, 64-year-old Leopold McKoy, was shot to death April 4 at the Sergi Farms apartment complex on Abbey Road off Marlkress Road. A Cherry Hill resident, 26-year-old Tymere Brown, has been charged with murder and weapons offenses in that case.
