Nurses rock
As nurses’ week approaches, kudos to the excellent staff in the pre-admission, post-anethesia care unit and recovery room at University Hospital. I was one of the last surgeries last week and despite the frustration of cancellation of procedures, redeployment, and fear for their own personal health, the staff were professional, cheerful, responded quickly to my surgical complication and were extremely competent. Dr. James Howard and his team deserve a thumbs up. Nurses rock.

Mount Morris will have a new mayor, and new trustees will take office on the village boards of Dansville and Lima following village elections on Tuesday.
Former Mount Morris Mayor Joel Mike will be returning to the office after he was decisively elected by voters in village elections on Tuesday. Mike received nearly three-quarters of the ballots cast in the mayorâs race.
In Dansville, former police chief Charlie Perkins outpolled two incumbents to receive one of two seats on the village board, based on unofficial results from the Livingston County Board of Elections.
And in Lima, two incumbent village board members were voted out by Brian Smith and Carolyn Fleming.
