SCOOP FROM FINANCIAL TIMES: Biden to pick Rahm Emanuel for U.S. ambassador to Japan. Emanuel offered a “no comment” when Playbook reached out early this morning. It’s a White House announcement after all. This is a major appointment for Chicago’s former mayor. Keir Starmer s Labour shadow cabinet reshuffle: the winners and losers | Labour

Rachel Reeves, the new shadow chancellor of the exchequer. Photograph: Hollie Adams/Getty Images Reeves, a former Bank of England economist, is trusted by Starmer and worked closely with him to develop the party’s Brexit policy in her post as shadow Cabinet Office minister. She has repeatedly attacked the Conservatives over cronyism in contracts during the pandemic and is often used as a media spokesperson for the party on wider issues. With the Brexit deal now done, and her opposite number Michael Gove increasingly sidelined by the prime minister, there had been persistent rumours that Reeves would be offered a wider role.

NFL Free Agents 2021: Bengals, Chiefs, Vikings show interest in Dede Westbrook

The Cincinnati Bengals, for the second-straight season, have had a solid offseason in terms of spending. Adding Trey Hendrickson on the defensive line and Chidobe Awuzie at cornerback among several other additions the team has made to strengthen their roster this offseason, Cincinnati may not be done quite yet. After bringing in a wide receiver with the No. 5 overall pick, the Bengals may be looking to sign former Jags receiver Dede Westbrook. ESPN’s Josina Anderson tweeted that the two sides have had “preliminary conversations.” The Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings have also shown interest. Over the weekend some #Chiefs players reached out to free agent WR Dede Westbrook to engage his interest in coming to Kansas City. Meanwhile, both the #Vikings & the #Bengals have had preliminary conversations with Westbrook as well. Westbrook was a 2016 Biletnikoff award winner. Ranking the Star Wars Films From Worst to Best

Enjoy! Attack of the Colones (dir. George Lucas) Here’s the thing. This movie has a bad reputation because of some historically bad dialogue. George Lucas never should have attempted to write romantic dialogue, but the idea of a love story in this universe is appealing. The execution is just so terribly wrong.  Hayden Christensen and  Natalie Portman had no chemistry. Christensen’s Anakin spends so much time whining, and that’s probably the other aspect of this film that’s most well known. Let’s highlight some positives: John Williams score for the romance is very good and saves it from feeling completely awful. Yoda fighting Dooku is still cool even with the CGI not looking that great. The final sequence is great in theory even though, again, in practice, it may not have aged well. Ewan McGregor is also a very good Obi-Wan Kenobi, too.
