JR Moores first column of 2021 has all you need to hear from the worlds of psych rock, noise rock and (erm) chamber psych. Homepage portrait of Sunburned Hand Of The Man by Sarah Gibbons
Chamber psych. Did any two words strike such fear and trepidation into the heart and mind of somebody who is supposed to know about this shit? Well, maybe the words Anton Newcombe but now s not the time to open that can of worms. When that category, chamber psych , popped into the roundup of everybody s Spotify listening habits at the end of last year, I have to admit I didn t have a clue what it meant either.
“We ve always been noisemakers. I mean, even in the studio, you know, we ve got so many things to play with. That s how [
The Fickle Finger of Fate, Crover s first solo album] started with the little weird things and this one kind of has the same stuff, but I made them a little bit different,” Crover says over the phone.
Diehard Phoenix fans may recall hearing Crover s band play many of the songs off

Melvins Continue To Tease Working With God With Cut The Great Good Place, Announce Livestream Show Monday, 25 January 2021
Melvins have unveiled a new single, The Great Good Place.
The powerful rocker is driven by a muscular guitar riff and serves as the fourth preview of their forthcoming album, Working With God , due out on February 26.

The long awaited follow-up to 2013 s Tres Cabrones will be accompanied by vinyl reissues of 2002 s Hostile Ambient Takeover and 1987’s Gluey Porch Treatments .
