In a rare gesture, a businessman in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced to give salary to wives of his companyâs employees. The businessman, identified as Sohan Roy, has announced to pay monthly salary to homemaker wives of employees.
Roy owns Aries Group of Companies, based in Sharjah. Roy, in a Facebook post, said that the decision is a recognition of the hard work and commitment of the company s employees and also the support of spouses to their husbands during the coronavirus pandemic. The CEO (Roy) has announced that Aries will launch a scheme to provide regular income from the company to our staff members unemployed wives. Details are being prepared and will be made available to all soon. In what can only be called an act of benevolence, a UAE-based entrepreneur Sohan Roy is going to pay a salary to wives of his employees for the work ethic they showed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic which witnessed a gigantic surge of salary cuts and job losses, this Sharjah-based businessman seems to be doing over and above what is expected from an entrepreneur. Roy is of Indian-origin who promotes the Aries Group of Companies in the United Arab Emirates.

Sharjah-based businessman Sohan Roy has decided to pay salary for homemaker wives of employees at his Aries Group of Companies.
“Regular salary for unemployed spouses of employees,” Roy, a Malayali and prominent Indian businessman in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), posted on his Facebook page.
The amount of salary to be paid to the wives will be determined by the number of years the employee has been working in the firm, said the report. The management of the company has started collecting the database of wives of its employees and soon the initiative will be rolled out officially, it said.
