The National Security Ministry announced on Tuesday morning that Venezuelans currently updating their registration cards will not need a mandatory job letter.
The ministry tweeted this change in both English and Spanish, saying: Venezuelan Migrant Re-registration Exercise: A job letter is not mandatory to re-register.
The 16,523 Venezuelans with permission to work and live in TT are required to drop off their documents to three Immigration Division offices. This update will give refugees the opportunity to obtain a new card with a possible six-month extension.
