Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday described his government s budget for financial year 2021-22 as welfare-oriented, development-oriented and an all-inclusive one representing the sentiment of the state s 24 crore people.

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav criticised the budget presented by the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday, saying expectations of the poor and the farmers were not met.
The Yogi Adityanath government presented a Rs 5.5 lakh crore budget for 2021-22 in the Assembly with a target of making Uttar Pradesh self-reliant. With the Assembly election a year away, the budget includes new schemes of Rs 27,598 crore.

This was the fifth and last budget of the government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his game is over now, the SP leader said.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], February 22 (ANI): Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh will present the first paperless Budget 2021 in the Legislative Assembly on Monday.
Uttar Pradesh will be the first state in the country to table a paperless budget.
Thie year s budget is the fifth budget of the Adityanath government in the state. State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna is slated to present the budget at 11 am today.
All members of the State Legislature have been provided iPads to view the budget highlights which will also be available on two big screens put up in the House.

UP Budget 2021: Five big announcements by Yogi government

The Yogi Adityanath government presented the Uttar Pradesh budget on Monday. While Rs 140 crore were proposed for the development of Ayodhya, Rs 597 crore will be given for Kanpur Metro Rail this year. At the same time, the government has proposed Rs 50 crore for the construction of Rashtriya Prerna Sthal in Lucknow.
This was the first paperless budget presented in the state assembly.
