While Verma is BSP MLA from Katehari seat, Rajbhar is an MLA from Akbarpur seat both in Ambedkar Nagar district of the state. The party also said these two sacked leaders will not be invited to any party programmes in the future and they will also not be given party tickets.

The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday observed that the amount of compensation for polling officers, who died due to COVID-19 during Panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh, is very less and the compensation must at least be to the tune of Rs one crore.
