Over 700 tonnes of mango, banana processed at Nuzvid VHT plant Updated: Updated: Share Article AAA Andhra Pradesh State Agro Industries Development Corporation Ltd s Vapour Heat Treatment (VHT) Plant for fruits at Nuzvid has processed over 757 tonnes of fruits in the past year. According to the Corporation s district manager B. Renuka, the facility at Nuzvid has processed and packaged fruits with export quality for international and local markets. She said a variety of mangoes weighing 22 tonnes were exported to the U.K. and Germany this season after they were processed at the VHT plant in Nuzvid. Similarly, 120 tonnes of mangoes were sold to Reliance Mart and 115 tonnes of mangoes were sold to More Supermarket, which is a chain of supermarkets. Also, 500 tonnes of banana, which are available throughout the year, were sold to local markets, she said.

Hyderabad: A supermarket was fined Rs. 15,000 for charging customers Rs.3 on carry bags which had the company’s logo printed on them. The penalty was levied on More Supermarket by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission – II, Hyderabad, based on a complaint by a customer. The fine was levied on More Supermarket on February 19, a complaint that accused it of using its customers as “advertisement” agents, and violating consumer laws. Akash Kumar, the complainant, approached the commission on June 1, 2019, demanding action against the supermarket for charging Rs. 3 for a carry bag with its logo.

Every person, from mastermind to executioners, involved in the Daphne Caruana Galizia murder, has been apprehended, Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa said. Gafa said that police had no evidence in hand so far that connected any politician to the Caruana Galizia and Carmel Chircop murders Gafa was addressing a press briefing this evening ahead of the arraignment of four people connected to the two murders. Without divulging names, he gave details of yesterday’s arrests. Three of the people – brothers Robert and Adrian Agius, and associate Jamie Vella – were arrested on Tuesday after Vince Muscat admitted guilt in the Caruana Galizia murder and reached a plea bargain. Muscat was subsequently given a presidential pardon to tell all on the murder of lawyer Carmel Chircop in 2015.

Vince Muscat granted pardon over lawyer Carmel Chircop murder

Daphne Caruana Galizia murder suspect Vince Muscat has been granted a presidential pardon to help shed light on the 2015 killing of lawyer Carmel Chircop.  Cabinet gave the green-light to the request during a meeting on Monday.  On Tuesday Muscat pleaded guilty to his role in the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, receiving a 15-year sentence as part of a plea bargain deal with prosecutors.  Also on Tuesday Times of Malta reported how brothers Adrian and Robert Agius and their associate Jamie Vella were rounded up during a police operation carried out on Tuesday.  They are suspected of having supplied the bomb used to assasinate Caruana Galizia.
