The unusual winter weather crippled the state’s electric grid, shutdown water supplies in many areas, and it claimed the lives of 111 Texans. It’s something that’s still likely fresh on the minds of people in Texas, and it’s one of the reasons why there’s still talk about what happened and how we will be better prepared if something like this happens again. The Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative, or GVEC, is the latest to try to help explain what happened during that mid-February event.
