Those who wanted the Ravens to draft a wide receiver Day 1 got their wish. The Ravens selected Minnesota s playmaking wide receiver Rashod Bateman with the 27th pick in the 2021 draft.
Bateman is the fifth wide receiver Baltimore has drafted over the past three years and it s the second time in three years that General Manager has used his top pick on a wideout, joining Marquise Hollywood Brown.
Known for his route-running and making tough catches in traffic, Bateman also has breakaway speed and is a threat to turn even short throws into long gains. Another weapon for quarterback Lamar Jackson is about to arrive.

HARRISONBURG, Va. A Virginia public works employee was killed when a falling tree limb struck the worker while on the job.
The City of Harrisonburg said in a statement that the Parks and Recreation employee was working alongside a public utility staffer at Riven Rock Park on Friday when the accident happened.
Officials said the other worker called 911 and attempted to give the victim medical aid, but the employee didn t survive.
The worker wasn t identified and an exact cause of death wasn t immediately given.

If members are faced with dangerous working conditions, they now have the right to suspend work operations until a supervisor investigates and any hazards cleared.

Comcast is the largest cable TV company and home Internet service provider in the U.S., and the nation s third-largest home telephone service provider. Globally, it’s the second-largest broadcasting and cable television company behind only AT&T.
