Finn Harps resume their Premier Division campaign on Friday night at Shamrock Rovers with a thousand fans allowed into the Tallaght Stadium as part of the Governments trail in bringing back the fans.
Harps will look to upset the defending champions who lost twice in the closing weeks before the mid season break, a result which would be classed as a major shock should Harps pull it off.
The break has given the injured party around Finn Park the chance to rest up and Manager Ollie Horgan hopes to have more players available for the second half of the season.
Ethan Boyle
Finn Harps is delighted to announce the signing of Ethan Boyle from Linfield FC for the 2021 season.
The defender returns for his second stint in Ballybofey having previously played with the club in 2016 and 2017. During this time he was a regular in the side, notching over fifty league appearances over the two seasons. Boyle was also awarded the 54 Crew Young Player of the Season in both years.
Speaking to FinnHarps.ie, the Wexford man said: “It’s great to be back. I wasn’t playing at Linfield for the last while, then Ollie got in touch and asked if I’d be interested in playing with Harps again. I’m familiar with him and Paul, how they work and what they expect so once everything was agreed it was an easy decision.

Finn Harps have announced Ryan Rainey has signed with the club for the 2021 season. The Donegal man is the first new signing to be confirmed for next season.
Rainey is comfortable playing in both defence and midfield, and has spent the last two years with his native Bonagee United. Prior to returning to Bonagee, he spent 7 years in Wolves’ youth setup.
Ryan was Bonagee’s top scorer in the USL last year and was named as the Watson Menswear Ulster Senior League Player of the Year this season.
Speaking to Finnharps.ie, Rainey is excited to test himself at League of Ireland level; “I just want to compete at the highest level I can. There’s only 5 teams in the Ulster Senior League and not to take anything away from them, but I want to challenge myself against the best players in the country.
