Alberta Pensions Services pivots to new investment consultant
Alberta Pensions Services Corp., Edmonton, hired
Eckler Ltd. as investment consultant for the C$5.6 billion ($4.4 billion) Management Employees Pension Plan.
The corporation issued an RFP in August because of a trade agreement that requires the services be put up for bid every five years, said Heather Tkachuk, plan board director, at the time.
Incumbent consultant Ellement Consulting Group did rebid for the services, according to an award notice posted on Alberta s procurement website. Whether the RFP process had any finalists was not known.
Alberta Investment Management Corp. manages the assets of the pension plan.
