MELAKA: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali has lauded the efforts of a pool of volunteers to help a 65-year-old woman and her two sons after strong winds damaged their house.
MELAKA: Five children, rescued from hunger and living with their single mother, need help, says social activist Azizah Harun.
Azizah, who is the Melaka Consumer and Environment Association women s wing head, is appealing for secondhand furniture and electrical appliances after finding a permanent home for the children and their mother in Alor Gajah here.
She had found them at Machap Umboo town in Alor Gajah on Oct 18 in a state of hunger. My association cared for them for the past two months and finally we have gotten them a house. We will take care of the monthly rentals and only need items such as beds, a couch as well as cooking utensils, she said on Friday (Dec 18).
