EAST HADDAM, CT (From Biega Funeral Home): Gregory Vincent Lauria, 52, of East Haddam, beloved husband of Kerin (McKenney) Lauria, and father of Matthew Gregory and Joseph David, died peacefully May 21, 2021 after a short battle with cancer.
Greg was born in Hartford, CT. He was the son of the late Vincent Joseph and Marjorie (Hood) Lauria. He was a graduate of Cheshire High School, in Cheshire, CT, received his Bachelor s Degree from St. Michael s College in Burlington, VT and his MBA from Western New England College in Springfield, MA.
He worked his way through college painting houses, was part owner and operator of a car reconditioning business, and a paint salesman for Sherwin Williams.

Vermont Business Magazine Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging (SVCOA) has hired Pamela Zagorski as its new Executive Director. Zagorski is set to begin serving in this role on May 17, 2021.
“I am thrilled to join SVCOA and eager to work collaboratively to help make Vermont the best place for seniors to live and thrive in their communities of choice,” said Zagorski. “I look forward to working with SVCOA s dedicated Board of Directors, leadership team and staff in continuing to advance the agency s mission.”
Zagorski comes to SVCOA with over three decades of experience in healthcare and non-profit human services financial and administrative management. Most recently Zagorski served as Chief Administrative Officer for Seacoast Mental Health center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
