Holland-area voters turn out for schools, MAX millage

Sentinel Staff HOLLAND  There were only a handful of measures on the local ballots for the Tuesday, May 4, election, but they were significant nonetheless.  Voters in the area had five tax proposals to voice their opinion on, including four for local schools, and all five passed based on unofficial results posted by Ottawa County Tuesday night.  All precincts in the county were fully reported by 9:24 p.m.  Ottawa County Clerk Justin Roebuck said it was a quiet day in terms of in-person voting, but there were a number of absentee ballots sent in ahead of election day. Grand Forks Police investigating Tuesday afternoon stabbing of middle school student

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – Grand Forks police are investigating a stabbing incident near West Elementary School. When officers arrived on the scene around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, the male middle school student was in University Park with at least one stab wound. The victim said another male juvenile he knows had stabbed him. The suspect was located at a nearby home. The victim’s condition is not known. The victim was transported to Altru by ambulance. GFPD investigating afternoon stabbing incident

By Doug Barrett Apr 27, 2021 6:10 PM Grand Forks police are investigating a stabbing incident near West Elementary School.   When officers arrived on scene around 4:30 p.m. the male middle school age student was in University Park and had sustained at least one stab wound.  The victim said another known male had stabbed  him. The victim was transported to Altru by ambulance   The suspect was located at a nearby residence and is also a juvenile. The investigation is continuing and there is no threat to the public.
