Nandi Spolia (top right) and Sukh Gill (bottom right) have longtime membership ties to the Aurora Rotary Club and together organize the IndoCan Links Golf Tournament, an annual charity event. According to annual financial reports, the TNRD paid Nandi’s about $45,000 in 2018. Five years’ worth of purchases on Gill’s TNRD credit card show about $24,000 charged at the restaurant, most often on a Thursday or Friday night and including both TNRD staff and board directors.

Sheriff Greg Speck reports that on May 5, 2021, Lieutenant Bobby Jones, Commander of the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division appeared before the Pulaski County Grand Jury in the case of the murder of Leanna Brumley who had gone missing in May of 2019. The Pulaski County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Gerald Avalon Hendricks, age 55, of Shady Grove Road in Science Hill, KY with Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence surrounding the murder of Leanna Brumley.
On May 6, 2021, Lieutenant Jones served the indictment on Gerald Alvalon Hendricks at the Pulaski County Detention Center where he had been previously lodged on unrelated charges.
Const. Crystal Evelyn said at about 11:35 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on West Columbia Street near Summit Drive. As part of the investigation, four people were arrested and searched. Weapons including a replica handgun, bear spray and knives were seized, as well as drugs and paraphernalia. Those arrested were released at scene. The investigation is ongoing.
Police looking for theft suspect with a crown tattoo Mounties are seeking a man with a crown tattoo on his face following a theft on West Columbia Street in Sahali on Sunday night. At about 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 900-block of the street for a report of man who allegedly stole property, then brandished a knife when confronted by an employee.
