Westbound & Down Brewing is the latest hot Colorado beer maker to sign on with Two Six Craft Distributors, a wholesaler that s an offshoot of Station 26 Brewing. Last month, Two Six signed up Call to Arms Brewing, adding that brewery s beers to its existing brands: New Image Brewing, Wiley Roots Brewing and Station 26. They re a perfect fit for what we are creating at Two Six, which is an extremely focused and specialized portfolio of Colorado s finest breweries, says Todd Luther, general manager and co-founder of Two Six Craft. As we seek to strategically limit the brands, we have to increase focus and attention given to both our brands and retail partners, and we knew Westbound was a must-have.

A week before the bar at 108 West College Avenue reopened on April 14, longtime manager Ellen Braun and bartender Justin Griffin took time from their preparations to let me take it all in. The bar is known for its craft cocktails, but Justin was nice enough to pour me a Firestone Walker Union Jack, a West Coast-style IPA. It hit the spot while we chatted. Ellen and Justin were excited to be soon welcoming back all their old customers and show them the new digs, and I could see why.
Gone is the old bottle shop that used to stand next to the entrance to Chumley’s. In its place is an open new front entrance area, which provides more space and visibility. Outside, a rainbow painted on the overhead sign is still there to highlight the bar’s inclusivity.

NEW YORK Zach Wilson is going from BYU to NYC, shouldering enormous Big Apple expectations with the New York Jets.
Wilson was selected as the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft Thursday night after being linked to the Jets for the last few months. He’s now the blond, blue-eyed face of a frustrated franchise that has gone 10 seasons without making the playoffs and 52 without reaching the Super Bowl.
“There’s not another team I’d want to play for besides the Jets,” Wilson said on NFL Network shortly after being drafted. “We’re going to be a special team. We’re going for the Super Bowl.”
