St Marys sets up COVID-19 memorial marking pandemic s first anniversary

Article content As a way to mark the COVID-19 pandemic’s first anniversary and to honour those who have lost their lives to the virus, the Town of St. Marys is inviting residents to contribute to a temporary memorial on the steps of the St. Marys Public Library. On Thursday morning – the same day the Government of Canada had designated a National Day of Observance – St. Marys Mayor Al Strathdee and Deputy Mayor Robert Edney led by example, each placing a bouquet of flowers on the library steps.
