Some people tried to get in on the action by looking into buying their own shares of GameStop on Robinhood, a trading and investing app, until Robinhood halted GameStop trading on Thursday, and then reauthorized it in limited quantities on Friday. Most people on the internet simply celebrated the mass freakout of stock brokers who got a taste of their own capital-manipulating medicine for once, especially in a pandemic that has exacerbated existing economic inequality throughout the nation.

TEANECK, NJ The Richard Rodda Community Center has repurposed their gyms, turning them from basketball courts to a COVID-19 vaccine clinic.
On Wednesday, pharmacists and nurses from Holy Name Medical Center used the space to administer vaccines to Category 1B patients, estimating that they could vaccinate at least 70 people per hour.
According to the Sayre Evening Times a mortgage against the First Baptist church of Sayre was burned with appropriate ceremonies at a watch meeting held at that church December 31, 1920.
The ceremony of burning the mortgage took place at 11 0âclock p.m. At that hour the pastor and the trustees formed a semi-circle with the president of the board of trustees holding a silver salver on which the mortgage was placed. Shepson, the president of the society was Mrs. John White and the president of the board of trustees was Fred J. Taylor and the other members of the board were C. C. West, W. S. Barnes, Lacey Whipple, C. L. Burlingham, and E. C. Johnston. When the mortgage was reduced to ashes the service of prayer and consecration commenced and lasted until the midnight hour and the beginning of the new year 1921.

Alabama State Troopers identified a driver killed in a deadly crash on Sunday in Limestone County.
Jennifer Marie Spencer, 38, of Harvest was killed in a two-vehicle crash at 6:15 a.m. Sunday. She was fatally injured when the Dodge Dart she was driving was hit head-on by a Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Eric Carson King, 19, of Athens, according to troopers.
They say King’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided with the Dodge. Both drivers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, where Spencer died from her injuries.
