The last year has a been difficult and troubling for us all, but one Cardiff grandmother s positive outlook on life, even at the darkest of times, is proving the sort of message we need to hear.
A great-grandmother s heart-warming reaction to receiving meals on her front porch from her angels has delighted people across the country.
Mary Ronald, 84, was interviewed on ITV News on Wednesday as she was handed her lunch from volunteers in Cardiff.
And viewers fell in love with her exclamations of joy, with many falling in love with her bubbly personality as she received meals from Leanne and Sue.
She said of the deliveries: It s a lifesaver, it s a lifesaver.
Mary Ronald praised those who deliver her food as guardian angles in an endearing clip shared on social media from ITV News The girls are wonderful. I don t know we d do without them. The loneliness we ve had for months now and without them I don t think I could go on.
“Jeanette wouldn’t let me not come,” her mate Mike Teka joked. Lex had fond memories of the venue, where he used to visit to play dominoes in his younger days. “We used to have so much fun, we didn’t want to go back to Invercargill,” he recalled.
