SLEMCO has cancelled its 84th Annual Meeting that was scheduled on Saturday, June 12th due to continuing public health concerns related to Covid-19. The annual Scholarship Drawing is not cancelled and will be held live on Tuesday, June 1 at 9:30 am on SLEMCO’s Facebook page.
Instead of awarding 20 scholarships worth $2,000 each, the company will instead be awarding 30 scholarships worth $2,000 each, to do its part to help area students, many of whom are facing economic hardships related to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Every qualified applicant who applied prior to the May 13th entry deadline will be entered into the drawing. Winners will be notified by phone after the meeting.
